How it works?
The Araati Seller Program enables individuals and businesses to sell their products to customers across Uganda through the Araati marketplace. We handle customer payments and delivery logistics, allowing sellers to focus on managing their inventory and fulfilling orders.

1. Register as a Seller
To join Araati, create a seller account using either:
- Araati Seller App (Download Android App or iOS App for iPhone user)
- Araati Seller Web Panel (Click to register here)
Complete the registration form and submit the required verification documents for review.
2. Seller Account Approval
To maintain a trusted marketplace, every seller account is reviewed before approval.
Requirements
- A valid national identification document.
- A registered business certificate or other relevant business verification documents.
- Accurate business and contact information.
Don't have a registered business?
If you do not have a registered business, you can still be eligible to sell on Araati. Please contact the Araati Support Team for guidance on alternative verification requirements and the approval process.
3. List Your Products
After your seller account is approved, you can start listing your products through the Seller App or Seller Web Panel.
Once a product listing is approved:
- A 10% Araati commission is automatically added to your selling price.
- The final price displayed to customers includes this commission.
- You receive the selling price you set after a successful delivery, subject to the withdrawal process.
4. Order Processing
When a customer places an order:
- The customer pays Araati.
- The seller receives an order notification.
- The seller prepares and packages the order.
- The seller either:
- Hands the package to an Araati Delivery Partner, or
- Drops it off at the Araati office for delivery.
Araati coordinates the delivery until the customer receives the order.
5. Delivery
All deliveries are handled by Araati Delivery Partners.
This ensures a consistent delivery experience while allowing sellers to concentrate on fulfilling orders.
6. Seller Payments
Customer payments are collected and processed by Araati.
After:
- the order has been successfully delivered,
- the customer confirms receipt, and
- there are no delivery or product disputes,
the seller can submit a withdrawal request through their Seller Account.
The approved payout is then transferred to the seller.
7. Refunds and Returns
Sellers are responsible for ensuring every order contains the correct and genuine product.
If a seller delivers:
- the wrong item,
- a counterfeit or fake product,
- or an item that significantly differs from its listing,
Araati will process a refund for the customer.
The seller will receive the returned item, and no payout will be made for that order. Sellers may also be subject to additional account review or enforcement actions if such issues occur repeatedly. Read more about Return & Refund here
